FUNDING

Some research projects require funding: for lab materials, photocopying of documents, occasionally for travel to research sites, etc. Students may apply to URP for funding by submitting a one-page proposal that includes:

1. A rationale explaining the need for special funds.
2. A description of how these funds will enhance a recent undergraduate research project.
3. An itemized budget listing the individual costs associated with the project and the total amount requested.
4. A letter of support from a faculty member who sponsored your research project. 

The proposal must be approved by their faculty supervisor. Faculty members may also request funding for their students.
